Writing weekly about Y&R here on Not My 1st Day… Thank you to COVID & Mariah Copeland on Young & the Restless.

Not My 1st Day swung from exploring & eating out in America, to watching soap opera characters doing what we were missing out in real life & writing about it safe at home.

Before Y&R fans knew it, Mariah Copeland is a surrogate for Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor with morning sickness that takes business trips & runs outside.

Now we begin celebrating 1 year of The Weekly #WTF on Y&R

Writing About The Young & the Restless: The Beginning…

In the beginning, there was just dabbling here & there writing about The Young & the Restless.

Not My 1st Day was launched in December of 2018, well before anyone had heard of COVID, 2 weeks to flatten the curve, & what seemed like stay-at-home orders without end. The original intent of Not My 1st Day was to highlight going out to eat, supporting small businesses, going out to shows, & how to do so alone.

Then COVID came & many more than 2 weeks to flatten the curve. Then time to PIVOT…

In April of 2021, The Weekly #WTF on Y&R was born. Thank you Mariah Copeland on Y&R… You helped me find a writing niche…

Mariah Copeland Ends Up Pregnant, Puking, Traveling, & Running

Mariah Copeland went thru quite the whirlwind last spring on Young & the Restless

  • New Job at Jabot, working for friend Kyle Abbott & his dad Jack Abbott.
  • Agreeing to be a surrogate mother for Abby & Chance Chancellor.
  • Saying yes to Kyle after being asked to stand up for him when he was supposed to marry Summer.
  • Mariah & Tessa moved into the Chancellor Estate.
  • Mariah felt crowded at the Chancellor Estate while experiencing morning sickness & decided to fly on an airplane on a business trip she didn’t need to go on to get away from her roommates.
  • Out of the blue, Mariah (while still pregnant) took up running outside.
