Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor, Now Hiring in GC on Society
Who remembers Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle)? Lola was the late Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) little sister who arrived in GC with big dreams.
Out of nowhere Lola arrived & opened a successful food truck business. Before long she was an innovative & well-respected chef at Society in Genoa City on Young & the Restless.
Then she married her boss’s cousin Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) who was still in love with her niece Summer Newman (Hunter King).
It didn’t take long for Lola & Kyle’s marriage to not work out…
Now Kyle is married to Summer, Lola has moved back home to Miami to be close to family & to further her career there, & Abby is out one talented chef.
Society seems to be doing well despite the loss of Lola & Abby’s recent marriage, her new child, & the impromptu demise of her marriage.
So, who took Lola’s place? Lola left big shoes to fill…
Now Hiring in GC, The Chancellor Winters Legal Team on Y&R
Genoa City is also down a couple of talented lawyers. Even though Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) & Imani Benedict’s (Leigh-Ann Rose) mother has been ill & placed in a hospital out of town, these sisters have been working remotely.
Well, until Amanda arrived back in Genoa City to find her live-in boyfriend/boss in a compromising position on the couch with Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway).
Understandably, Amanda broke up with Devon & moved out of the penthouse immediately. Amanda’s next order of business… She & Imani resigning from Chancellor-Winters.
How is Chancellor-Winters running without legal counsel? Especially in light of their failed attempt at an IPO sponsored by now ex-COO Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic)… Oh, & C-W is down their other COO also…
COO Positions on Y&R, Huge C-Suite Turnover in Genoa City
It wasn’t long ago almost anyone that was anyone in Genoa City & not a CEO was a COO.
Chancellor Winters that is now down two attorneys is now down two COOs. Almost in tandem, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) & Nate Hastings left their posts as COO at C-W.
Simultaneously, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) was making chances as CEO of Newman Enterprises inside that C-suite. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) was ousted as CEO of Newman Media & as a result, her COO Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendricksen) was let go as well.
Billy, Sally, & Chloe are still all unemployed & the positions they were let go from have not been filled. Perhaps a new company will be formed…
Ongoing… No Hope for New Hope… & Nick Newman on Y&R
There is still no hope for New Hope. When Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) left his post at New Hope to return to Newman Enterprises for the umpteenth time, he offered the opportunity to run New Hope to his son Noah Newman (Rory Gibson).
Noah politely declined & has since opened up The Glam Club on top of the Grand Phoenix after the almighty Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) declined Noah’s request to open up his new artistic restaurant concept inside The Top of the Tower at Newman Enterprises.
Since both Nick & Noah have moved on, New Hope has only been brought up a couple of times on Y&R. It seems Nick discontinued attempting to replace himself after Noah turned him down.
What about considering Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan)? She is currently unemployed & has dealt with some serious stuff as of late. Perhaps she would be a good fit to give back after being helped by others.
What about Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks)? She hasn’t been able to sing or perform after suffering an illness. She attempted modeling at Marchetti but hasn’t been called back. Wouldn’t Tessa working for New Hope enhance her & Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) adoption resume in addition to providing meaningful employment?
Last but not least, who is actually running the Grand Phoenix since Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) sold it?
