During Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) tenure as COO, almost every single idea that was brought to the table was turned down flat.
Now, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) sexy ex-husband returns to GC with a wild idea & it’s approved almost immediately.
Daniel doesn’t even work for Chancellor-Winters. Nate was in an executive position & was constantly turned down time after time.
This sounds like another case that is part of the ongoing shit show at Chancellor Winters.
Really, Devon… You gave Nate a hard no on his music festival concept that your hired on COO & cousin. Yet, your sister’s ex-husband who is not employed by C-W pitches a gaming platform for players to “grow” & you’re totally on board.

Daniel Romalotti’s New Gig Yields Phyllis Summers a New Gig (Y&R)
Not only did Daniel pitch his idea to Lily & Devon to have it accepted within the shortest period of time in soap opera time, but he was also given the freedom to hire a team without any budget constraints, etc.
*Flashback*… Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) recently sold her hotel, the Grand Phoenix. Phyllis did this to work with her daughter & to spy on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Long story short, Marchetti Home has run its course. Also, so has Phyllis’ time working with her daughter Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).
Summer fired Phyllis.
As Dan shared with Lily & Devon, he is planning to launch his new gaming platform in March. His platform will allegedly help its users explore their hopes, fears, & dreams. Ergo, Daniel must move quickly & on point to develop his team.
Daniel’s first hire… his mother. After all, she has experience in both hacking & gaming.
It’s true, Phyllis does have the exact credentials for this job opportunity with her son Daniel. Also, this opportunity sounds much more exciting for Phyllis than home interior design at Marchetti.
