Just when we thought all of the COO jobs on Y&R had been filled, another one popped up & was filled. Hamilton-Winters, soon to be merged with Chancellor Industries, has hired Dr. Nate Hastings as COO.

Sure, Nikki Newman has been the CEO of Newman Enterprises for quite some time. She’s been her daughter’s right hand professionally & personally. However, as of late, COO positions have been popping up around Genoa City & being filled as fast as they’ve been created.
Once Lily Winters accepted the CEO job offer at Chancellor Industries, she offered her live-in-lover, Billy Abbott, a COO position & to be her right hand. While he didn’t accept Lily’s job offer right away, he eventually did & now has time to provide a very boring podcast. Aunt Traci likes it though…
Circling back to Newman Enterprises, now Newman-Locke (at least for the time being), they recently acquired Newman Media from Victor Newman with Adam Newman as CEO. Victoria immediately cut the fashion division of Newman Media which left Chloe, Chelsea, & Sally without a job. These ladies weren’t out of work for long though. Sally Spectra was promptly offered a COO position at Newman Media to serve as Adam Newman’s right hand.
Breaking this week, the latest of COO openings were apparently not posted but popped & accepted as soon as it was said out loud, Nate Hastings being hired on at Hamilton-Winters. Hamilton Winters is about to be merged with Chancellor Industries.
How is it possible that Nate finds this opportunity a good choice? Devon has been a bit off of his rocker lately so it’s understandable that his judgment might not be the best right now. Also, who has been responsible for the duties of the COO role at Newman-Winters until now?
What about Jabot? Do They Need a COO? Ask Jack Abbott, but Not Now on Y&R…
What about Jabot? Do they need a COO? Who knows? Jack Abbott hasn’t been there in months…
Jabot is hardly ever mentioned. Despite Jack Abbott wearing a suit almost all of the time, it appears he goes into the office none of the time. Mariah Copeland is working there. Despite taking a business trip during her pregnancy on behalf of Jabot, she hardly ever mentions her employer, since having a baby & being kidnapped. Kyle Abbott is supposedly still Co-CEO based in Milan & is soon returning to Genoa City. Will Kyle go into the office, or will he continue to work remotely but in Genoa City? Does Jabot need a COO if they have Co-CEOs?
It seems Jack Abbott will continue to not go to Jabot & will not have time to even consider a COO position. Maybe he has one & that is the person who has been actually going to Jabot to run things. Maybe it’s Gloria?!? Who knows… For now, Jack Abbott is going to be occupied with grieving Keemo’s passing, attempting to connect with his granddaughter (Allie) out of nowhere, & a surprise blast from the past that is or resembles Diane Jenkins.
Unlimited COO Jobs on Y&R & What Happens Next…
In addition to changing career paths, Nate has teed up a move from his home that Elena recently moved into, to the penthouse he used to live in across the hallway from Devon. Apparently, challenges with the renovations at his & Elena’s home motivated him to consider moving back to the penthouse. Y&R fans heard about them buying a lamp & an area rug? Where did these renovation challenges come from?
It’s been obvious to Y&R fans for months that the number of sets available for scenes has dramatically decreased. It seems that the sudden renovation challenges at Nate & Elena’s actually provided a sort of valid excuse to keep Adam & Chelsea’s former penthouse as a set & not create a set for Nate & Elena’s remodeled home.
It seems also more couch sex is coming soon on Young & the Restless. Yes, Nate & Elena’s couch sex across the hall from her ex-boyfriend enjoying couch sex with his deceased wife’s identical twin sister.
The Genoa City Athletic Club is another set we lost. Is this place still open or is it not? It’s been referenced a time or two over the last several months, but not seen by fans. It was revealed this week that after Victoria finally got it through her mind that Ashland is a compulsive liar & faked his cancer diagnosis & treatment, she stayed in a hotel rather than at home. Where Ashland will be staying moving forward is TBD.
