Fan Favorite Phyllis Summers (sometimes Newman)… & why we love her on Young & the Restless…
Phyllis Summers played almost entirely by Michelle Stafford, is not to be messed with. Even when Phyllis was played by Gina Tognoni, she was still not to be messed with.
Phyllis Summers always wins…
Fan Favorite Phyllis Summers | Queen of the “Gray Area”
If anyone needs something to get done in GC, ask Phyllis Summers. This is especially if the outcome will benefit her, her children, her current lover, &/or her current BFF.
No doubt over the years she has gone well beyond with gray area…
For instance… Cheating on lovers, creative paternity test-taking, assisting in the not-yet-deceased body of JT Hellstrom, running down ‘Cricket’ & Paul Williams with her car, etc.
Most recently Phyllis has had to intervene as it pertains to Tara Locke & Sally Spectra teaming up to get Summer out of town.
It certainly helps when one owns a hotel that several residents are living in for the time being. Phyllis’ office seems to be either at the bar, behind the bar, or in the adjacent lobby seating area.
Oh, & the security footage she has access to as the hotel proprietor doesn’t hurt when conducting her “gray area” detective work
Why We Love Phyllis When She’s w/ Nick Newman
Is there a couple in Genoa City hotter than Phyllis & Nick Newman? Ever since the death of Cassie Newman (brought back to life on Y&R as Mariah Copeland), Phyllis & Nick have enjoyed playing video games & hot sex (on-again, off-again).
Then Summer (See also Super Girl or Snowflake) came, & she’s a little hottie herself…
Phyllis & Nick are currently on again, & are telling no lies. Phyllis invited Nick into the gray area to take down Tara Locke. Well done, Phyllis (& Nick), well done.
But… Does ‘Red’ Belong with Jack?…
While ‘Red’ & Jack Abbot are not nearly as hot as Phyllis & Nick Newman, there is one hell of a connection.
Regardless, Phyllis always has Jack’s back. On again, off again, not getting along, whatever… Phyllis always has Jack’s back.
Only Phyllis Summers could remove Jack Abbott’s head from Tara Locke’s ass.
…& in true Jack Abbott/’Red’ fashion… Jack thanks Phyllis & admits he owes her an apology… but Phyllis doesn’t even want it. She was watching out for Jack (& Summer, & Lauren, maybe sort of Kyle, etc.).
Why We Love Phyllis | Team Work | Burying JT Hellstrom
Gina Tognoni as Phyllis Summers did not disappoint. After all, the burying of who they thought was a deceased JT Hallstrom, was not only completed but led on her watch.
While we welcomed back Michelle Stafford wholeheartedly, it was still sort of sad to see Gina Tognoni be let go from the role. If anyone was going to fill Michelle Stafford’s shoes, Gina Tognoni was the filler.
Why Phyllis Summers Hates Cricket (& Why We Do Too)
Miss Perfect… Christine Blair… or Cricket… or Christine Williams, but first Christine Romalati.
With Tara Locke & Sally Spectra in town, it’s worked out rather well that Cricket hasn’t been spending much time in Genoa City. Well hell, maybe she is in Genoa City & has an actual residence (does not live at the Grand Phoenix).
Cricket has been popping into the Chancellor Estate from time to time to provide support & updates when possible on Chance’s whereabouts as he’s been on assignment.
Bottom Line… Fan Favorite Phyllis Summers…
This woman keeps this soap opera entertaining. The only time Phyllis Summers has been a snooze fest is when she was in a coma.
Does she hang out way past the gray area at times? Absolutely. We need her.
If this were the “Cricket Show” it would be out of business…
