Ashley has been married many times, most notably to the infamous Victor Newman & her sister Traci’s ex-husband that is now deceased, Brad Carlton.
Ashley’s on-again-off-again with Victor created a classic soap opera rivalry between her & Nikki Newman. It didn’t help things when Nikki married her brother Jack Abbott.
Then there was a time after the Abbott Estate’s former pool boy Brad Carlton divorced Traci, he eventually moved on & married Ashley. They had a child together, sort of…
Ashley & Victor were married, & then they weren’t. Then she married Brad Carlton, but not before having a baby girl now known as Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor.
Carlton is not part of Abby’s name that is almost as long as her new baby boy’s name, Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor.
Why?
Although Brad Carlton, Abby, & everyone else in GC was led to believe that Brad was Abby’s bio-dad, the almighty Victor is actually Abby’s biological father.
Ashley Abbott had & survived breast cancer but things got dicey as she was fighting the disease. Ergo, she created a video confirming Abby’s actual bio-dad in case she didn’t survive.
In true soap opera fashion, the video got into the wrong hands & Abby’s true paternity was revealed.

These sisters have been through it all…
Traci with her weight struggle & becoming obsessed with diet pills. She lost her only daughter Colleen tragically & then had Colleen’s corneas donated to Victor Newman of all people. Her sister Ashley then married her ex-husband Brad Carlton who is also now deceased.
Over the years Traci Abbott has become a successful writer & everyone’s favorite Aunt. Traci Abbott has room in her heart for everyone whether she’s their aunt or not.
Like Traci, Ashley has been through her share of challenges & heartache.
4 words… Victor Newman always wins.
She went through so much with Victor. At the end of all of the days, Victor will always be devoted to Nikki.
Her mother Dina left her young & returned only long enough to peacefully pass away. That reveals that John Abbott is not her biological father.
Ashley Abbott continues to have an enormous career creating cosmetics. Though like her sister Traci, she does leave Genoa City to pursue other endeavors, she always comes back. She’s there to support her daughter Abby & the rest of the Abbott family.
Although not immediately on board with her brother Jack Abbott’s newfound granddaughter like Traci, she’s now on board. Ashley is totally excited to build a relationship with Allie.
