Pam on The Office, She Breastfeeds the Wrong Baby Girl
Season after Season Pam (Beesley) Halpert seems so sweet & innocent, except for an occasional prank with her end-game man, Jim Halpert. Even those pranks although funny, were pretty cheesy.
Who wouldn’t be taken aback when a mother (even on a TV show) accidentally breastfeeds the wrong baby girl?
Loyal fans of The Office surely remember after the birth of Pam & Jim’s firstborn, the immediate challenges of breastfeeding while still in the hospital.
We all remember the trouble with CeCe “latching” & how awkward Jim reacted during a male medical professional assisting Pam & CeCe by flicking her nipple.
After the breastfeeding tutorial & a short rest, Pam picks up the closest baby girl she can find… & the baby girl latches…
Wait… Wrong Baby Girl… Pam Picked Up the Wrong Baby Girl
Pam & Jim wake up from a short rest with the baby they thought they just successfully fed & snuggled with. They quickly realize they’ve extreme bonded with the wrong baby. Pam & Jim return the baby as her parents are resting.
It’s almost like Pam didn’t breastfeed the wrong baby… Almost.
When the nurse checks in Pam makes a comment about how well “The other baby latched.” Jim cuts in promptly & shuts Pam up.
Now it’s like Pam breastfeeding the wrong baby girl never happened…
Pam Fails Recording CeCe’s Recital for Jim on The Office
Yet another disappointment sponsored by Pam Halpert that involves her daughter CeCe… Pam didn’t end up recording CeCe’s recital for Jim.
Originally, Jim had planned on driving back from his new entrepreneurship adventure in Philly to see CeCe’s recital personally. Something came up, & Pam promised to record the recital.
Well, Jim is not the only one in this relationship testing what else might be out there beyond Dunder Mifflin, Pam has been as well… with her art.
Just as CeCe’s recital begins & Pam hits record, her phone rings. She takes the call & learns she has been selected to paint an important mural.
While this is a great opportunity for Pam, Pam did not actually revert back to recording CeCe’s recital. It did not record.
Jim learns of this after a not-so-great day & evening moonlighting as a sports writer & becomes frustrated with Pam.
Pam, you had (1) job.
Pam, Head Lice, & Meredith: Again, Pam Halpert on The Office Disappoints
Then, there’s “The One with the Lice…”
Yes, head lice. Jim has been spending overnights in Philly getting his new company going. This means that Pam has been at home solo taking care of both CeCe & baby brother Phillip.
This means that in light of CeCe getting lice, Pam has not gotten any sleep due to extreme cleaning at their home.
Despite having no sleep, Pam does manage to show up for work… Not in the best shape, but she for sure shows up for work.
She shows up for work & notices along with a few of the others that Meredith is scratching her head… A lot.
It turns out after Erin reviews each head in The Office that Meredith & a few of the others have lice.
Pam initially does not let on that she is the one that exposed The Office to head lice. She goes to level up with Meredith but finds her shaving her head.
Now Pam feels REALLY bad & doesn’t say anything to Meredith about her household already having head lice.
It eventually comes out that Pam brought the lice into The Office meanwhile the affected staff is using mayonnaise to rid themselves of head lice.
All of Pam’s co-workers are super pissed at Pam for not owning up to bringing the lice into The Office, in addition to letting Meredith take the blame, no less shaving her own head.
Meredith proves the bigger person. She & Pam go out for a drink & talk things over. Pam praises her hard work being a single mom, & they both sing karaoke.
Yes, Pam Halpert does disappoint…
