Y&R’s Chelsea & Rey were never intimate… Except in her dreams… & in ours.
Y&R fans were led to believe that Chelsea Lawson (Melisa Claire Egan) & Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) would eventually become intimate. Ever since Chelsea tried to kill Rey, they have been very flirtatious.
…& now Rey is dead.

Karma Caught Up with Chelsea… & Now Rey Is Dead on Y&R
It wasn’t long ago Chelsea tried to kill Rey… & now he’s been killed in a car accident.
Since Chelsea via her BFF Chloe tried to kill Rey, they have become close friends. They began to bond after Chelsea went through treatment & then had to be escorted (by Rey Rosales) with her son to Minnesota to take care of her mom.
Chelsea & Rey then developed a friendship & eventual vibes with one another that were very much in the gray area on Young & the Restless.
Flirt, Flirt, Flirt… & More of Y&R’s Chelsea & Rey Flirting
Considering Chelsea Lawson’s background, we were not surprised.
However, Rey Rosales has been an upstanding man since he arrived in Genoa City (& probably was before he relocated to GC from Miami).
At times it seemed that Chelsea was providing attention to Rey that Sharon should have been. Sure, Sharon & Nick will be close forever because of their kids… blah, blah, blah. But still, give your man some attention.
As of late, Sharon & Rey have been one of the most boring couples in Genoa City.
Chelsea not only filled in some attention-starved gaps for Rey, but she also supported the bond he was building with her son Connor. That bond led to the hockey game trip to Milwaukee that never happened…
The Blame Game | Chelsea vs Ashland | Rey is Dead on Y&R
Scenario 1: If Chelsea didn’t ask Rey to bring Connor to a hockey game in Milwaukee, he wouldn’t have been on the road.
Scenario 2: If Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) didn’t lie about his cancer diagnosis & treatment, the 500 Million dollar deal wouldn’t have been needed. Ergo, no fallout between Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) & Ashland & they wouldn’t have ended up on the road.
…& just like that, Rey is dead.
No matter how the blame game shakes out, has Ashland Locke redeemed himself after rescuing Victoria
Y&R Fans Have Missed Out Again… A Summer & Kyle Flashback
Almost as many Y&R fans were looking forward to Chelsea & Rey getting together as were looking forward to Summer Newman (Hunter King) & Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) getting married in Milan.
Sure, Rey wasn’t the most exciting character on Y&R, but he was not bad to look at & for sure had potential.
Y&R’s Chelsea & Rey getting together not only would have been hot but seeing Chelsea get back at Sharon for all of the times Sharon & Adam got into gray areas when they were together would have been exciting.
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) finally did confront Chelsea about her feelings for Rey. Apparently, Sharon did pick up on things like the rest of us. Chelsea at least attempted to reassure Sharon that she did not have feelings for Rey & continues to be very aware of their commitment to one another.
Um, we doubt it & are bummed we won’t get to see how it may have shaken out.
Rey Rosales is Dead & What Happens Next on Y&R…
Well, Rey’s death leaves Sharon a widow & Chelsea’s only hope at love that’s not Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), well dead. Ergo, Adam Newman’s rival lovers Sharon & Chelsea are left super single. Adam is currently occupied with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), an alternate lover for both Sharon & Chelsea is available, however. Will one of these ladies bounce back into Nick’s arms (bed)?
By the way, how long will Rey Rosales be dead? Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) just came back from the dead & we saw her dead. We haven’t seen Rey dead. Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) ( was dead for a while. It turned out he was on a super-secret in Spain, pretended to be dead, & has been alive this whole time.
