Celebrating Neil Winters Again on Y&R, Planned by Abby, WTF?
It seems Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is in charge of all things pertaining to the new Neil Winters Jazz Lounge. Of all people to introduce the new GCAC lounge it was her. Now she’s somehow produced this last-minute celebration to celebrate Neil Winters yet again.
But, how… & why? Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) told his sister Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that day of the event that he decided to hold an event at the Neil Winters Jazz Lounge to honor their dad. All that Devon asked of Lily was to show up & wear something nice.
When has Lily not worn something nice? She’s always beautiful & well dressed. WTF?
Also, how did this event come about with Devon asking Lily about planning the event itself, let alone having Abby involved? Didn’t Devon & Lily just reboot their trust in one another & Devon was going to stop going rogue?
The Last Minute Guest List That Doesn’t Make Sense on Y&R
Young & the Restless fans learn shortly after the celebration begins that Faith & Neil’s son Moses were supposed to attend, but they had school obligations. How? This celebration was planned last minute. If Faith & Moses were to come back from Michigan wouldn’t they have come back for the celebration honoring 200 years of Genoa City?
Then, there’s the last-minute invite that did make it back to GC to celebrate Neil Winters, Neil’s brother Malcolm (Shemar Moore). Yet again, how? Wouldn’t it have made more sense for Malcolm to make a grand entrance in Genoa City when Young & the Restless was celebrating 50 years? How is it possible that Lily Winters’ biological father was able to make a total last-minute trip to GC when he hasn’t been seen in years?
Abby Doesn’t Run the GCAC, But Who Does on Y&R?
It seems as the owner/operator of Society, Abby Newman is the backup owner/operator of the other hospitality establishments in Genoa City. Abby backed up Phyllis once when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) for an event at the Grand Phoenix when Phyllis had to be out of town.
Now, the Grand Phoenix is supposedly owned by Chancellor Winters. No one has been appointed to actually run it, however, & it’s never mentioned by Lily or Devon.
As of late the Genoa City Athletic Club has been intermittently open & even talked about on Young & the Restless. Now that the GCAC is back full-time, the owner is still a mystery & so is whoever is running it. So, it’s defacto Abby Newman??
How long do you think Malcolm still stay in Genoa City? Malcolm was close with Phyllis once upon a time. How will the news of her presumed death affect him? Spoilers suggest that Devon Hamilton’s biological mom will also return to Genoa City. How will all of this shake out?
