Miss Claire Grace has to be connected to someone besides the Carmichael family in Genoa City. Yet no one was curious about her at Jack & Diane’s wedding reception at the Abbott Estate on Y&R.

New to GC: Y&R’s Claire Grace Played by Haily Erin

Out of nowhere, Nikki Newman is gifted the perfect fit for an assistant at Newman Media.

During Claire’s job interview with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) & Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) at Society, she disclosed that her parents were killed in a car accident, she’s been working since she was 12 years old, she plays the flute, & she’s a friend of the Carmichael family who Nikki Newman is also acquainted with.

What will Claire Grace actually be doing for the new CEO of Newman Media? Has Claire been hired to assist Nikki Newman with keeping an eye on her COO Audra Charles?

It’s quite likely that Nikki Newman took a page from her husband & CEO of Newman Enterprises, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Victor Newman’s motivation for appointing his son Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as COO Nate Hastings’s assistant has to be another set of eyes on him almost full-time.

Seriously, Young & the Restless… Claire & Nikki are just connected by the Carmichaels. C’mon…

So far, Claire Grace has provided an abundance of personal information during her interview with Nikki & Audra at Society. Then, apparently, in celebration of Claire Grace’s new job, she was the best to replace Victor Newman as Nikki Newman’s guest at Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) & Diane Jenkin-Abbott’s (Susan Walters) 2nd wedding at the Abbott Estate.

At the Abbott Estate, it was Nikki Newman’s turn to provide an abundance of information to her new assistant. By the way, since when has Nikki Newman had an assistant?

Regardless, Claire & Nikki have at least one more contact in common than the Carmichael family in Genoa City, but Holier-than-Thou Nikki Newman doesn’t know it yet.

Claire Grace & Lauren Fenmore, Chicago Back & Forth

Claire Grace is simply visiting Genoa City for her job interview with Nikki & Audra. Or, is there more to Claire’s visit to GC?

After accepting the job offer at Newman Media, Claire committed to relocating to Genoa City from Chicago. Yet, Claire remained in Genoa City to attend Jack & Diane’s vow renewal while supposedly having no idea who they were. Nikki Newman gave her new assistant ALL of the scoop on the attendees, except for Jack & Diane who have been married for about 10 minutes.

Why, oh why, the abundance of information exchanged since Claire Grace’s arrival in Genoa City? Also, why isn’t she back in Chicago fetching her things to relocate to Genoa City, WI?

Claire just came from Chicago, & Lauren just took off to Chicago.

Is there some type of baton exchange going on between Claire & Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman)? Why wouldn’t Lauren attend Jack & Diane’s wedding reception? What business does Lauren Fenmore have in Chicago?

Genoa City’s Current Loose Cannon, Tucker McCall

Could Claire Grace be connected to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) in some way? Audra did not push back at all when Nikki Newman extended Claire the assistant job offer.

Mister Tucker obviously has Miss Audra on his side. It’s believable that Tucker also has Diane on his side. Between Audra &/or Diane, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is on Tucker’s side without a choice.

Could it be that a Jabot takeover will really occur sooner rather than later?
