Abby’s Questionable Priority List, Is She the New Kyle?
Abby on Young & the Restless (Melissa Ordway) is linked to all four of the most prominent families in Genoa City including the Newmans, Abbotts, Chancellors, & Winters. Yet, she almost always has absolutely no idea what is going on.
Now, instead of being involved with her mother Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) recent mental health challenges including two additional personalities, she’s dressed up to celebrate her father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) & her stepmother’s 40th wedding anniversary.
Remember when Abby’s cousin Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) prioritized having sex with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) while still married & while he had family getting married? Kyle wasn’t even divorced from Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) & was Audra’s GCAC Suite VIP.
While Kyle moving on from Summer intimately while still married was one thing, he chose sleeping with Audra instead of attending his mother & father’s wedding (Jack Abbott, Peter Bergman & Diane Jenkins, Susan Walters). In addition, he wasn’t available to officiate his Aunt Ashley’s wedding to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). Kyle had Audra to do then as well, but did manage to “make an appearance.”
Y&R’s Abby Celebrates Victor & Nikki w/ Kyle & Claire
Despite Abby being one of Victor’s biological children, it was a surprise that she was an attendee celebrating Nikki & Victor. In fact, almost as surprising as Kyle Abbott attending with his supposed biological son Harrison.
Speaking of Harrison, why just him attending this event as far as Genoa City’s finest young boys? Where is Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) son Christian? Where’s Abby’s son Dominic? These kids are supposedly in town.
Claire could have made friends with these other little boys. She’d end up setting up play dates. Before Young & the Restless fans realize it Claire might end up running a new daycare facility. Anything can happen in Genoa City…
Abby Misses Ashley’s Intervention, Nikki Needs One Too
Abby not only missed her mother’s Abbott intervention, but she also hasn’t found an opportunity to ask where her mother is when she does not show up to Victor & Nikki’s anniversary party. Why isn’t Abby asking Jack & Diane where her mother is?
Also, why was necessary for Abby’s boyfriend Devon Hamilton Now Winters (Bryton James) to provide a toast? Devon continues with his out-of-line entitlement inserting himself & his arrogant thoughts everywhere he can any amount of words in. At least Abby is Victor’s daughter & acknowledged her more challenging days as a young woman. She was sweet to Nikki as well.
Well, since Abby missed Ashley’s intervention, perhaps she can attend Nikki’s upcoming intervention. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) plans a booze-free party & Nikki has a flask in her purse meanwhile everyone else is bored &/or uncomfortable.
If nothing else, maybe Nikki & Ashley can be checked into adjacent rooms at Memorial or Fairview on Y&R…
