Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) thought long & hard about the job opportunity her mother Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) recently offered her.
Well, actually, she didn’t…
Seriously, it wasn’t even one change of clothing in soap opera time before Y&R fans learned Mariah had given notice at Jabot.
Yes, it was Jabot Cosmetic’s new Chief Talent Officer, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) who is now reviewing resumes to replace Mariah.
Apparently, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) has been on maternity leave along with her wife from Jabot. Y&R fans weren’t even sure that Tessa still modeled for Marchetti under the Jabot umbrella until Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) suggested that both Mariah & Tessa leave that umbrella.
It seems that Jabot Cosmetics has earned an employee 2-for-1. One Kyle Abbott put it in Mariah’s head that her talents would be better valued elsewhere & so would Tessa’s.
Now Kyle’s mother has work to do…
Kyle Started It & Sharon Finished It
Sure, Sharon offered up a new position at her new company to Mariah which does sound exciting, but Kyle started it. Mariah may not have even considered this opportunity if Kyle & the Abbotts had been loyal to her & Kyle had not recently brought up his self-entitled concerns with his supposed BFF Mariah.
Speaking of which, Tessa brought up a valid point after Sharon offered Mariah a job. Are the Abbotts really keeping Mariah top of mind right now? They haven’t before…
Unfortunately, it’s the first time Kyle has not kept his supposed BFF & Jabot employee in mind. There was that one time that Mariah was kidnapped while carrying his cousin Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) baby.
Mariah working with Sharon is a great idea… Except she’ll also be working for 2 of her mother’s ex-husbands who are brothers & neither of them is her biological father.

Well, she might… It just makes sense right now…
Mariah has left Jabot. Tessa most likely will leave Marchetti. Why can’t Sharon also have a 2-for-1?… Aria’s two mommies working for her in different capacities covering almost all of her bases.
Also… a bonus… Tessa Porter can sing…
What do you think about Tessa having more lines again on Young & the Restless?… & maybe even singing again? Perhaps Tessa can bring a new flair to Crimson Lights while Sharon gets busy in & outside the office.
