In large part, Regina Phalange on Friends is Phoebe Buffay’s alter-ego, played by Lisa Kudrow. However, Phoebe’s alter-ego can also double as a made-up sorority sister or a made-up part of a plane.
Ken Adams, however, is best known for “The Europe Story.”

Yes, a doctor. Actually, Ross’ Brain Doctor, Dr. Phalange.
Dr. Phalange had to step in meanwhile carrying a litter at the beginning of Season 5.
This was in light of Ross saying the wrong name at his wedding — I take thee, Rachel, instead of I take thee, Emily.
Meanwhile, as Dr. Phalange is listening over the phone to Ross expediting his 2nd divorce, she jumps in after Ross says Rachel instead of Emily as Ross’ Brain Doctor.
She shares with Emily’s Step Mom that Ross didn’t take his brain medication today. According to Dr. Phalange, without Ross’ Brain medication, women’s names are interchangeable in the mind of Ross.
A Businesswoman in Town on Business, Regina Phalange on Friends
Regina Phalange makes another appearance at the tail end of Season 5. This time not a Brain Doctor, but a businesswoman in town on business.
Regina Phalange seeks to help Joey’s “Secret Hand Twin” understand just how big of a deal this finding is.
After all, she has never seen anything like this in the business world.
Regina finally gets asked to leave the casino again after having already been taken out for playing an old lady lurker’s quarter.
Regina/Phoebe claims that the security guard kicked out Phoebe & she is Regina Phalange. The security guard then escorts both Regina/Phoebe & Joey out of the casino.
Regina Phalange on Friends | A Thigh Mega Tampon Sorority Sister
During Season 7, Rachel runs into a sorority sister, Melissa, at the coffee house. She & Melissa agree to meet for dinner that evening. Rachel then shares with her friends how one time Melissa got really drunk in college & kissed a bit.
Ross is super impressed (sarcasm) as that makes 2 ex-wives that have kissed women.
Anywho… Phoebe calls bullshit on this Rachel & Melissa making out deal & has to find out either way for herself. She joins Rachel & Melissa for dinner.
Phoebe Buffay attends this dinner personally, not Regina Phalange.
During this episode, Phoebe makes a weak attempt to fit in with sorority sisters Rachel & Melissa. She comes up with Regina Phalange, the made-up sorority sister of Phoebe’s that died of alcohol poisoning which shut down the also made-up sorority, Thigh Mega Tampon.
During dinner, Melissa is totally caught off guard when Rachel attempts to call Phoebe’s bullshit call. Melissa denies the kissing…
Once outside the restaurant, Melissa levels with Rachel & reveals she does remember their sangria-induced kissing & can’t stop thinking about it.

Regina Phalange & Ken Adams | Alter Egos WE Love on Friends
Loyal Friends fans for sure remember “The Europe Story.”
During season 8, Monica & Chandler return from their honeymoon & seem most excited about meeting a new couple to hang out with back in New York, Greg & Jenny.
Besides returning back home being super braggy of their new couple to hang out with & double date & not so much the typical honeymoon stuff, they also do not have any souvenirs to share with Phoebe & Joey.
Not only are Phoebe & Joey instantly jealous of Greg & Jenny, but they’re also pissed about the lack of souvenirs.
They go on to mock The Bing’s & their new pals, Greg & Jenny. After all, they are a couple of people…
This of course drives Monica to want to call Greg & Jenny right away. Chandler gets excited & they decide to call Greg & Jenny.
Monica dials. It seems she has dialed the wrong number by accident & has reached a restaurant.
Monica dials again, carefully. She reaches the same restaurant again.
Phoebe & Joey begin to snicker & laugh instantly. Monica & Chandler totally got fake numbered.
Monica is shocked (for real).
Phoebe & Joey immediately jump in as Regina Phalange & Ken Adams. Totally believable.
The Europe Story: By Ken Adams
Later in this episode, the gang ends up watching the video accidentally captured by Ross of him & Rachel having sex, ergo getting to the bottom of who hit on whom.
It’s apparent immediately that Rachel hit on Ross using the infamous Europe Story.
After all, Joey had just taught Ross this move as Ross was going thru a 6-month dry spell & quite desperate.
Anywhoozies, Rachel is caught off guard to learn that she’s not the only one that has heard of The Europe Story. She shares with the gang that she learned about it from a girlfriend that learned it from “Some Guy.”
Joey points to himself. Rachel argues that her friend learned it from a guy named Ken Adams. Joey points again to himself, “Ken Adams!!”
Regina Phalange: Interview Prep with Chandler Bing
After a chat at the coffee house in regards to how not-so-well Chandler comes off the 1st time one meets him, he’s bummed & now is stressed out about his upcoming job interview.
Regina Phalange to the rescue… She offers to role play with Chandler as the interviewer…
Classic Chandler… “You should meet my Uncle Bada.”
Chandler then realizes things like that can rub people the wrong way when they meet him.
Regina Phalange continues to role-play & prep Chandler Bing for his interview. Right after zeroing in on what he doesn’t do, Regina then changes course…
“Let’s stop focusing on what you don’t do, & what you DO do.”
Chandler Bing somehow sidesteps around the do-do & dominates. He does the same thing during his actual interview… until…
Who is Regina Phalange? Joey’s Big Sister
Most Friends fans remember Joey’s resume of lies. Regina Phalange makes another appearance after Phoebe’s failed attempts to teach Joey French, which according to his profile he is fluent in.
Phoebe knows from her failed French tutorial with Joey that his upcoming audition is going to be a complete cluster. Hence, she shows up as Regina Phalange, claiming that the man auditioning for the part speaks a French dialect from her native land of “Estee Lauder.”
The director questions Regina’s statement. Regina replies back in actual French that Joey is her little brother & a little retarded.
The director praises Joey for having “really good French,” but they are going in a different direction for the part. Joey doesn’t mind not getting the part as long as the director thought his French was good…
Regina Phalange to the rescue… again…kind of.
The Final Phalange: It’s on the Left
Regina Phalange’s final appearance is actually that of a made-up “Left Phalange” in the final episode of the Friends series.
Finally, what we have been waiting for the entire series, Ross & Rachel finally commit to one another, with the help of an airplane malfunction involving the “Left Phalange.”
Long story short, Phoebe agrees to drive Ross to the airport to catch Rachel before she leaves for Paris to tell her that he loves her & doesn’t want her to go.
Bad move. They assume JFK while Rachel is actually flying out of Newark.

Phoebe halls ass & puts the hammer down, & scares the shit out of Ross in an attempt to still catch Rachel.
This all meanwhile taking it upon herself to call Rachel to stall her. She’s on the plane already.
Phoebe pulls a “Left Phalange” out of her ass & tries to convince Rachel that there is a problem with it & she needs to get off of the plane.
