The Newman Palazzo on Y&R, Since When Do They Have a Palazzo?
Immediately upon getting engaged to Ashland Locke, Victoria announced that she & Ashland’s wedding would be “The Wedding of the Century.”
Y&R fans assumed maybe the Collenade Room would be brought back, or maybe the Top of the Tower for this event.
Um, now… this wedding is to take place at the Newman Palazzo. What in the what?!?
Since when do the Newmans have a Palazzo in Tuscany?
Regardless, if Victoria Newman has access to an Italian Palazzo & is marrying Ashland Locke she certainly should have the Wedding of the Century in Tuscany.
Not only, did Nikki Newman agree to plan Victoria & Ashland’s wedding at their Palazzo, but she & Victor also agreed to gift their Palazzo to Victoria & Ashland.
Proud Hosts at The Newman Palazzo on Y&R: Victor & Nikki Newman
Victor & Nikki have never been so proud. This all despite Ashland’s (Bobby DeFranco’s) past unraveling faster than the onscreen time it takes Tara Locke to change into another outfit.
It seems that Victor Newman & Ashland have become BFF. It seems also that Victor’s motivation for his fast friendship with Ashland comes from both his hatred for Billy Boy Abbott & what might happen to Newman-Locke if Victoria & Ashland don’t merge personally.
Nikki has not only embraced her role as mother of the bride but the wedding planner along with matron of honor.
The Wedding of the Century goes out without a hitch, but not without stress, led by the united front of Victor & Nikki Newman.
Nate & Elena | Another BFF of Ashland & His GF Arrive at the Palazzo
Ashland’s best man & his serious girlfriend Elena are amongst the first couples to arrive at the Newman Palazzo on Y&R (via Ashland’s jet).
Yes, Ashland’s new doctor & new BFF is his best man. One may shake their head but then one would learn that Victoria’s mother is her matron of honor & things suddenly make sense.
Throughout the entire week Nate & Elena are consistently calm, cool, & supportive. They are also consistently stunning.
Elena even helps with the ring bearer, Harrison, during the ceremony. It seems that Johnny & Katie who while at the Newman Palazzo as they traveled with Lily, were not part of the ceremony. No doubt sweet Elena would have helped with Johnny & Katie as well.
Billy Boy Abbott & Jesse Gaines, Trouble in Tuscany on Y&R
Billy Boy Abbott does not stop. It’s apparent he’s still in love with Victoria. Seriously, if Y&R fans drank every time Billy Boy mentions that he “wants the best for the mother of his kids (or children), they’d be buzzed almost every damn episode.
Instead of flying to Italy with his live-in girlfriend & his kids whom they have almost full custody of, Billy Boy flies to Tuscany with Jesse Gaines. Billy Boy is the third guy to pay Jesse Gaines as it pertains to what he knows about Ashland Locke after Ashland Locke himself & Victor Newman.
Long story short, Billy Boy & Jesse arrive in Tuscany. Billy loses Gaines & finds Lily. Victoria finds Billy & Lily & demands he let her go & will let her be happy. Billy makes love to Lily to smooth things over & they skip the cocktail party.
Johnny, Katie, & Aunt Traci: MIA in Tuscany on Y&R
So… Johnny & Katie fly with Lily to Tuscany but like Summer & Kyle during their wedding, Y&R fans don’t get to see them. Y&R fans do learn that Johnny & Katie are playing well with Harrison when in the care of a nanny.
What nanny? Also, who has Nick Newman’s son Christian? Who has Adam Newman’s son Connor?
Also, where did Aunt Traci go? She flew with Jack, Phyllis, & Nick to Milan for Summer & Kyle’s wedding. Wouldn’t it make sense to attend another event in Italy with your family & flightmates? After all, who in the world does not like Aunt Traci? I bet Victoria & Ashland would have welcomed her with open arms into the Newman Palazzo.
Summer & Kyle: Consistently Pissy All Week in Tuscany on Y&R
Summer & Kyle may as well make their way back to Milan as they have been consistently pissy all week.
Y&R fans were upset they weren’t included in Summer & Kyle’s Italian wedding. The silver lining is that they would be attending the Wedding of the Century in Tuscany & Y&R fans would get to see them there.
Yes, we got to see them, but they were pissy almost the whole time.
If Summer, Kyle, & Harrison are as happy in Milan as they say they are, how about we ease up a bit on Sally Spectra? Sure, no one agrees with Sally’s methods of how Summer landed her new job at Marchetti, but things seem to have worked out quite well for Summer & her new family.
Noah Arrives, Ex-girlfriend Tessa is Solo at the Newman Palazzo
While Tessa was bummed Mariah did not join her in Tuscany, she seems open to reminiscing with an old friend.
That old friend is Noah Newman. The brother of Mariah Copeland. That Tessa used to sleep with before sleeping with Mariah.
Will Tessa & Noah find their way back to each other romantically? It’s just short of certain that Noah will be back in Genoa City soon. Mariah is emotionally scarred after being kidnapped & held captive when carrying Abby’s baby. According to Mariah the best way to work through her feelings is for Tessa to become pregnant so they can raise a child together.
Tessa disagrees.
Victoria’s Wedding Dress by Sally With the Help of Adam on Y&R
Sally Spectra to the rescue… with an assist by Adam Newman. Again, using questionable methods, Sally Spectra brings happiness to others.
The dress Lauren Fenmore designed for Victoria was horrible. Pretty sure Victoria could have purchased that dress off the rack at Kohl’s. It did not fit her well nor flatter her. There was a big ass bow on one of the shoulders. It was awful.
Miss “Right Place at the Right Time” (Sally Spectra) managed to get the scoop throughout the wedding planning process & ultimately designed & provided the perfect wedding dress for Victoria to wear to her Wedding of the Century.
Sally could have not pulled this success off without the help of Adam Newman. Not only did Adam provide the assist in Sally swapping the wedding gowns out in Victoria’s room, but he also introduced her to Summer & Kyle as his date when questioned as to why she was invited.
The Newman Palazzo on Y&R in Tuscany & What Happens Next
Whew!… The Wedding of the Century that may or may not have happened did happen! What a week! Everything was exquisite.
Some might say that this event was reminiscent of a royal wedding.
Next week… Party at the Palazzo! No doubt the amazing fashions, drama, & elegance will carry on during Ashland & Victoria’s wedding reception.

- What did the Hardy Boys (Adam & Nick) do with Gaines with the help of Victor? Can we bring back Tara Locke to date Gaines so they can gang up on Ashland? They might be hot…
- Why wasn’t Lauren Fenmore & Michael Baldwin invited to this wedding? Lauren was (supposed to be) the wedding dress designer. Michael has gotten the Newmans out of more trouble than any of the other families in Genoa City
- After everyone returns home to Genoa City, we will continue to see the set of the Newman Palazzo. Maybe another wedding (Nate & Elena) will take place there? A vacation spot for the Newmans & company?
- How have Sharon, Mariah, & Faith been doing? Were any of them taking care of Christian &/or Connor?
- How have Abby, Dominic, & fill-in dad Devon been doing? Has Mariah been involved at all in helping Dominic fight his cold (the reason she didn’t join Tessa in Tuscany)?
- Once Lauren Fenmore learns that the woman she fired (Sally Spectra) designed the perfect dress for Victoria that Victoria selected & wore well over Lauren’s design, how will that go over?
This week was exactly what Y&R fans have been wanting. It seems more of the same is coming our way next week…
