Victoria Newman’s Dress is Revealed on The Young & the Restless…
Lauren Fenmore… You have let us (& Victoria Newman) down.
It appears that Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) wedding dress designed for the “Wedding of the Century” is off the rack.
What happened, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman)? You’re consistently dressed to the nines. Your previous designs are infamous. Victoria Newman is teed up to marry the infamous Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) in Italy amidst the Newman-Locke professional merger.
Alas, she’s presented with some not-fitted-at-all, boring, short, with a side zipper, not impressive at all wedding gown.
Finally, what is up with that ridiculous shoulder-side-bow situation? Oh my…
Lauren Fenmore Deflects Meanwhile Having a “Great Boob Day”
During Victoria’s wedding dress fitting, Lauren is dressed on point & is stunning as per usual.
Is there any garment that Lauren Fenmore cannot pull off? She might be the first woman ever to pull off a “Great Boob Day” in a leopard top that doubles as a turtleneck. Well done, Lauren… Well done.
You missed a beat, however, when designing Victoria’s wedding gown. While historically a class act, instead of admitting that this dress missed the mark in impressing Victoria (& Y&R fans), Lauren deflects…
Lauren has conjectured that Victoria might be nervous about the wedding or otherwise some stress by planning a wedding abroad. This conjecture is merely based on Victoria forgetting her shoes for the big day to complete the fitting.
While Victoria certainly does have some unanswered questions about her fiancee & fear of other “surprises” from his past, this wedding gown is no doubt not suitable for Victoria Newman, let alone her “Wedding of the Century”…
Sally Spectra to the Rescue? Money is No Issue… Apparently
Miss Sally Spectra, or Miss Right Place at the Right Time, still is confident that she will design Victoria Newman’s Wedding Dress.
Not only was Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) conveniently within earshot when Victoria described her dream gown to Lauren, she conveniently had a meeting with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) at the Grand Phoenix at the same time Lauren had a suite reserved for Victoria’s wedding gown reveal & fitting.
Just after getting asked to leave the Grand Phoenix yet again, Sally reiterates her plans of designing Victoria’s wedding dress with Chloe on Young & the Restless.
Chloe seems to care more about their hiccup sponsored by Sally of not being able to hold their premiere fashion event at the hotel. Phyllis did note, however, if Chloe would fire Sally, the event would be able to be held at her hotel.
Fat chance. Sally then reveals the design she has put together for Victoria. Chloe agrees it’s spot on & is totally in Victoria’s taste & worthy of The “Wedding of the Century.”
Chloe oozes excitement over developing a fashion line within Newman Media composed of Chloe’s, Sally’s, & Chelsea’s designs.
Sally eventually retreats to Society & makes a phone call to see how long it would take to produce a wedding gown if money were not an issue. Sally is surprised by the answer she wanted to hear & sends off her designs immediately.
Hmmm… Money is not an issue. Is Sally Spectra’s money not an issue?… Or, is Newman Media’s money, not an issue? Betting Y&R fans would likely leave this outcome up to if Victoria actually wears the gown Sally designed… That of course if this wedding even takes place…
The Wedding of the Century that May Never Take Place
This week Victoria rescinded Nick’s invitation to her wedding to Ashland which may or may not take place. While Victoria & Ashland were hot & heavy at first & it finally seemed like Victoria met her match, as of late the heat is gone & Victoria isn’t sure who she is actually marrying.
Apparently, Ashland Locke was born Robert (Bobby) DeFranco…
Despite Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) & Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) doing their own respective recon to get to the bottom of who Ashland really is, it ended up being Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) that ended up with a lead in New Jersey that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) followed up on & got the scoop.
So, instead of being beyond upset with her fiancee that he left out that he took the identity of his best friend upon his fiery death after a car accident that he was also in, she is beyond upset with her brother & disinvites him to her wedding.
Now even though Victoria is beyond upset with Nick she is still upset with Ashland to a degree that yet does not have her calling off the wedding. Ashland ends up getting a room at the Grand Phoenix to give Victoria some space.
Victoria Newman’s Dress & What Happens Next on Y&R…
Ashland has checked in to the Grand Phoenix to give Victoria some space, but for how long? Spoilers show Victoria arriving at the hotel as Ashland is about to get into the elevator to retreat for the evening.
Victoria & Ashland’s wedding isn’t the only wedding pending in Italy… Summer Newman (Hunter King) & Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are allegedly getting married there as well. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Phyllis, Nick, & Aunt Traci (Beth Maitland) are on deck to travel together after the weather clears for take-off.
If Victoria & Ashland do wed, will Victoria wear the gown by Lauren Fenmore or the rescue gown designed by Sally Spectra?
