Awesome Appetizers On-the-Go | The Black Horse Bar & Grill US Hwy 61 | Winona, MN
Their bottles of beer are cheap & cold, & the appetizers are awesome. These items are just a fraction of their full menu you can find here.
Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers
For sure consider ordering their Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers available ala carte for an afternoon or early evening snack. These poppers could easily supplement another appetizer or main dish as well.
These Jalapeno Poppers are not the status quo Jalapeno Poppers found on bar appetizer menus. Those of us that enjoy things hot are for sure familiar with the batter-fried versions that most likely arrive at the bar/restaurant ready to throw in the fryer on-demand.
These Jalapeno Poppers are in fact bacon-wrapped, & bacon-wrapped. In fact, these poppers are prepped & prepared from start to finish on-site.
Cored, cleaned, stuffed, & wrapped with bacon… Then made fresh for you on-demand.
Batter-fried Ellsworth Cheese Curds
Another awesome appetizer prepared in-house are their batter-fried Ellsworth Cheese Curds. The portion size provided is for sure sharable.
Think of a giant styrofoam to-go container. It’s recommended to swing in for a cheap cold beer & order curds to-go when chilling out.
