Adam Newman Redeems Himself… For now. Also, for now, it seems (almost) all of the Newmans are getting along.

Adam Newman Redeems Himself (Y&R)
Have Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) & Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) reconciled? It seems so. To review, Faith has a car accident & Adam saves her. Faith needs a kidney transplant & (apparently) the only viable option is her Uncle/Mom’s, Multi-Time-Ex-Lover Adam.
Adam is on the run as he’s being accused of drugging Faith’s mom’s current husband Rey. Faith’s mom Sharon has a hunch about where Adam might be hiding in light of her ongoing OCD with her initial ex-husband’s brother. She tells Faith’s dad (her initial ex-husband, Nick, who is a brother to Adam).
Nick tracks down Adam, they have a good talk, survive a tornado, & both come back to Genoa City. Adam follows through with providing one of his kidneys to Faith. Both Adam’s & Faith’s surgeries were successful.
Nikki Newman & Sharon Rosales | Having Faith for Faith on Y&R
It seems over the years Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) & Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) have only come together under unforeseen circumstances. Not so much Sharon & Nick being in committed relationships here & there throughout the years, but more so when they need to bury JT Halstrom’s body or when Sharon’s daughter needs a kidney.
In all Young & the Restless seriousness, Nikki has been a great resource for Faith as of late. Not only as a grandmother but as a woman who has dealt with alcoholism & its consequences.
Chelsea & Another Deal with the Devil
It’s about time for another deal with the devil who is obviously Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) on Young & the Restless. After all, he’s been pretty chill the last several months.
In real life, Eric Braeden who plays Victor Newman turned 80 this year ~~ so totally acceptable.
The Genoa City resident desperate to make a deal this time with the devil is Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
After Chelsea suffered a stroke, she was initially limited to a wheelchair & could not speak. Her communication was limited to blinking her eyes once for yes & twice for no.
As time went on, Chelsea managed to get a hold of a photo of Adam & Sharon kissing at Society all the while Sharon was providing her counseling per Adam’s request.
Eventually, Chelsea began to regain her mobility but managed to deceive her doctors, Adam, & everyone else… Except for Cloe.
During Chelsea’s “recovery,” she outsources Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to steal a few things from Sharon that were gifts from Adam & to poison Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) in order to frame Adam for attempted murder.
Eventually, those close to the situation begin putting things together. Yes, Chelsea has been hiding her recovery & she may have poisoned Rey.
Victor, bound & determined to clear Adam’s name, offers Chelsea a deal “where everyone wins.”
To avoid losing her son &/or going to prison, Chelsea takes the deal. Now Adam is free & Chelsea is in a psych ward, & Connor is still away at boarding school.

With Adam not being charged with poisoning Rey, he is free to do whatever, including continuing to be involved with Sharon on at least some level. While Adam tells Victor that he’s going to distance himself from Sharon, we’ve all seen this moving before… Adam is like a bad rash that will not go away, especially when it comes to Sharon. So, Rey… time to tell Sharon bye-bye. This woman is like a broken record.
Why would anyone want anything to do with a bad rash & a broken record?
Another couple may be moving out of the Grand Phoenix. In light of Summer & Kyle’s engagement, moving into a home together has come up. We’ve seen this movie before as well.
What Happens Next on Y&R…
Will Adam stay away from Sharon & really attempt to have a fresh start? Will Adam make an effort to repair his relationship with Chelsea? Does Adam move Connor back to Genoa City?
Also, will Lola actually relocate to Miami? If so, who will be her replacement at Society?
Finally, it’s apparent Sally wants Jack back. We were left to wonder if she would be crashing Summer & Kyle’s engagement party at Society. The crashing of this party ended up being courtesy of Tara Locke & her (& technically Kyle’s) son Harrison.
We assumed Tara & Ashland would somehow manage not to stay away from Genoa City for too long, but I’m not sure we saw Harrison coming…
How do you think Harrison visiting Genoa City will impact Summer & Kyle? Will Sharon mend things with Rey or manage to get back together with Adam?
