Devon has gone nuts. Not only did he move forward with taking legal action to get shared custody of Dominic, but he also requested to make little Dominic’s name even longer than the one he was given.

We Would Have Expected this Out of Mariah… C’mon Devon
Remember… Mariah carried Abby & Chance’s baby… & was kidnapped. She successfully carried little Dom & understandably ended up with some PTSD.
Sure Mariah continued to live at the Chancellor Estate a little longer than she should have. She also ended up asking Tessa to get pregnant so they could raise a child together. Then she calmed down…
This all the while Devon signed up to be the sperm donor (only). Oh, & a close family friend who has an open-door policy at the Chancellor Estate to visit the baby he helped create anytime he wants.
Now Devon wants Dominic to have sleepovers at his place & for some reason needs to have it in writing.
Devon is better than this. Why in the hell did he not simply offer to take Dominic for an evening overnight at his place so Abby & Chance could have a nice evening/date night alone? Obviously, Abby trusted Devon to take care of Dom at his home when she went to Spain to track down her thought-to-be deceased husband. Why wouldn’t Abby (& Chance) trust Devon to take Dominic for a night so they could have some time to reconnect after being apart for so long?
You would think it was this man’s first day being a grown-up. C’mon, Devon. Offering to take Dom so Abby & Chance can have some alone time benefits everyone involved. There’s no doubt that it would go well.
Whoa!… Then you could offer up another sleepover & that would go well. Before you know it, Dom would be sleeping over at your penthouse at least once per month & you weren’t crazy or got lawyers involved. You’re a dumbass, Devon.
Dominic Phillip Abbott Newman Winters Chancellor Now Has (2) Dads
Devon has gone nuts. He asked his live-in girlfriend who is the identical twin of his deceased wife & also his lawyer to draw up papers to sue Abby & Chance for shared custody of Dominic.
Abby is NOT happy. Rightfully so… All parties involved (except for Devon’s live-in girlfriend who is his deceased wife’s identical twin) came together to negotiate bringing Dominic into the world & literally signed off.
This week on Young & the Restless, push came to shove… Shoving Chance to admit he’s going through a harder time than he let on after serving the explosion in Spain & losing his team. Then Chance shoves Abby into buying into Devon’s request to have shared custody but agreeing to something outside of court.
Chance does get Abby on board with giving Devon shared custody without having to go to court & leaving this decision to a judge with Christine’s help.
Devon & his lawyer/live-in girlfriend arrive upon request to the Chancellor Estate to see what Abby & Chance have to say in the company of their lawyer Christine Williams (Cricket).
Abby & Chance give in to Devon & all parties agree to allow Devon shared custody.
Instead of being thankful, happy, & content with Abby & Chance’s update, Devon takes things one huge step further… He asks to make Dominic’s name even longer.
Yes, the sperm donor’s last name is now part of Dominic’s last name.
Wow.
Dear, Devon, you’re not Dom’s dad. You’re the sperm donor. Quit calling yourself a dad. Quit calling Dom your son. Get back in your lane & stay there…
Devon Has Gone Nuts & What Happens Next on Y&R…
Speaking of Devon going nuts, why hasn’t Abby &/or Chance brought Nina &/or Victor into the loop on this? Where’s Ashley on this? Wouldn’t parents be a great resource to ask advice to in regards to parenting, furthermore adding in another parent to your family? Victor would have Michael Baldwin on Devon’s ass so fast this wouldn’t still be going on & Dominic would still have his initially given long last name.
…& speaking of Victor & Michael, they will be working together again. Michael excepted Victor’s offer to work at Newman Media provided he’s not working all of the damn time & doesn’t have to take his calls at all hours of the day & night. Why not have Michael straighten out Devon as his first order of business?
Finally, Tessa asked Mariah to marry her & Mariah said yes. Still, Noah is showing symptoms of being in love with Tessa (again). Sharon & Nick have caught on. It’s not clear if Tessa has, however. Will Tessa & Mariah make it to the alter, or will Tessa switch back to men (Noah) & mix things up with their relationship?
