After Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) had carried on & on & on about the importance of keeping Victor’s fake illness under wraps, The Almighty Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) fired him out of nowhere.
Why? Nate Hastings has already demonstrated his lack of loyalty in business & to his immediate family when he was one of (2) COOs at Chancellor-Winters. What would possibly hold Nate back from making what he thinks is The Great Victor Newman’s mind really being lost all over everywhere?
That news would go viral in Genoa City & beyond. Except if…
Victor’s Fake Illness & Desperation to Expose Nate ASAP
Could it be that Victor Newman faked the crap out of his make-believe illness just to bring Nate Hastings down & to get him away from his daughter, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)?
Victoria & Nate’s relationship has been more than a bit reminiscent of Victoria & Ashland Locke’s relationship, except that Ashland ended up dead courtesy of Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Also, the way that Victor fired Nate Hastings in front of his wife & children, less Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) suggests that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) was in the loop to Victor’s agenda prior to this event.
Has this bazaar MIA mind-play by Victor Newman yet another version of him doing everything in his power to protect his family?
Nate Hastings Unravels, Victor Makes Certain It’s Viral
Has Victor Newman been doing everything in his power to get Nate Hastings out of Newman Enterprises & banned from any executive position in Genoa City & beyond? Has this chaos of confusion by Victor really been all about Nate?
If this is all the case, it makes sense that the last straw would be Nate pushing for Victor to be sent off to a memory specialist without his family & stepping down temporarily from CEO of Newman Enterprises.
Has Nate Hastings lost HIS mind? For the 1st time ever, Victoria agreed with her brother Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Adam strongly disagreed with Nate’s recommendation to send Victor away & all of the other Newmans in the NE C-suite agreed with Adam.
Victor’s Fake Illness & Nate’s Long-term Unemployment
As all of this chaos is going on at Newman Enterprises, Chancellor-Winters is considering the agenda of their newest investor, family friend Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd). Mamie is all about Nate being brought back under the C-W umbrella so that her family can be under the same corporate roof.
Mamie bought her new interest in Chancellor Winters from Victor Newman. Nate’s not a Newman & non-Newmans do not fair well long-term at Newman Media.
Did Victor sell his interest in C-W to vacate Nate from his company? Or, is Victor bringing Nate Hastings down by making his lack of loyalty go viral?
Regardless, Nate Hastings should have time now to get that cup of coffee with Nikki Newman’s new assistant, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin). Also, it wouldn’t be unlike Nate Hastings to have an upper level meeting with Nikki Newman’s COO Audra Charles inside her suite at the GCAC.
