Marchetti Home by Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) on Young & the Restless has to be a joke.

We know it’s a joke to Phyllis as she’s taking a job at Marchetti only to drive Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) out of town. Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) & Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), however, have bought in.

Seriously, where did this concept come from? Sure, it came from Summer Newman, but how?

When has Marchetti had anything to do with anything that has to do with home furnishings? When has Phyllis done anything to do with anything that has to do with home furnishings?

Yes, the suites at the Grand Phoenix are wonderful, blah…blah…blah. However, the decor is not all that different from Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s restaurant, Society.

Seriously, these venues are the same only different…

Coming Soon to Genoa City, Everyone’s Home Looks the Same

Depending on how long Phyllis holds on to her new executive position at Marchetti, every Genoa City elite’s home may look the same.

Would everyone’s home looking like the Grand Phoenix or Society be that bad? When is the last time the Abbott Estate had a makeover? What about Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) couch? That thing just needs to go…

Y&R’s Marchetti Continues to Hire, Who Will Be Team Phyllis?

Even if this is a total joke to Phyllis, she will need to play the part & assemble a team.

Perhaps she will bring in Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) to write for the Marchetti Home Online Catalog. The process of transforming the Abbott Estate along with before & after photos can be featured. Who better to write about transforming the Abbott Estate other than Traci Abbott?

Maybe Phyllis brings in Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) for design if things do not work out with her CEO role at Newman Media. Sally Spectra is basically a Phyllis Summers 2.0 anyway.

Then there is the ever-boring & sometimes Phyllis’ stepson, Noah Newman. He’s very artsy & well traveled. Perhaps he can contribute to designing for Marchetti Home.
