Kyle is an idiot on The Young & the Restless. This has been reinforced since his mother came back from the dead. Kyle’s wife Summer is finally realizing what she has got herself into…
Genoa City’s Cheesiest New Family is On the Verge of Splitting
Just when Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) & his wife Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) & their impromptu son Harrison could not seem more happy & vanilla, Kyle doubles down on his mother Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Until this week, Summer has been playing the part of the doting wife & mother to a ‘T.’ Whatever Kyle wants, Summer supports it & helps to make sure it happens. She has made it seem like she has bought into Diane’s supposed life changes just as Kyle & his father Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) have.
Finally, at least to her brother Daniel Romalotti (Michael Grazedi), Summer owns up to buying into Diane’s BS to support her husband Kyle.
Kyle is An Idiot, Summer & Harrison Head to Paris for a Break
After Summer’s mom Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) called her on buying into Diane’s BS full-time, Summer decides to head out of town. Kyle is an idiot & Summer knows she’s pushing her mother away on account of him & Diane.
The icing on the cake was when Kyle told Diane he could not ask for a better mom…
Conveniently, there’s a textile conference going on in Paris that will help advance her efforts at Marchetti. Summer plans to bring Harrison along, & hopefully his nanny.
It’s apparent that the apple does not fall from the tree. There seems to be a contest featuring just Jack & Kyle to see which one can be duped more than the other by Diane Jenkins.
Do you think Summer & Harrison heading off to Paris is the first step in the demise of Summer & Kyle’s marriage? If Summer & Kyle were to formally separate, how would custody of Harrison be handled? Summer never adopted Harrison.
