While Hunter King acted her ass off as Summer Newman on Y&R, Allison provides a level of maturity as Harrison Locke’s step-mom that Hunter may have never hit.

Allison is nailing it as Summer Newman. She totally dominates being Phyllis Summers’ daughter. She dominates her romance with Kyle. Now Summer Newman is a successful executive & has successfully stepped into a stepmother role.

Alison Lanier is a great fit with Kyle, but I liked Hunter King as Summer more. Alison is harder edged and looks meaner to me! She tries to make herself into a sharper edged character and her face hardly is ever relaxed!
i much prefer alison as summer. i hope she stays.
