988 should be as well known as 911 & it’s not even close. Why didn’t The Young & the Restless continue to reference this resource this week?

Chelsea Lawson’s Mental Health, Ongoing on Y&R Without 988
Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) continues to improve throughout this latest mental health journey. Once she was checked into a facility that was not Fairview, she was counseled & released within 72 hours.
The Young & the Restless did an excellent job of placing Chelsea in a facility that was not Fairview & showing it to be a productive & helpful experience. However, this week there was not any mention at all of 988.
Some have only heard of 988 via The Young & the Restless. Why isn’t 988 otherwise promoted? Why didn’t Y&R bring 988 up again this week?
Billy & Sharon to the Rescue, Chelsea Lawson’s Mental Health
Of all people, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) is white on rice with helping Chelsea along with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Not only did Sharon help Chelsea get into the facility that provided her excellent care, but she is also now renting her apartment above the coffee house to Chelsea.
Chelsea living in an apartment no matter where will be better for her than living in a hotel suite. Being able to live in the apartment above Crimson Lights where she can find support almost anytime downstairs is perfect.
Chelsea & Connor Reconnect, Connors Own Bedroom at Chelsea’s
Immediately after settling into her new apartment, Chelsea’s first priority was to reconnect with Connor & to level with him on what happened. She received feedback from her doctor on how to handle this & got Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) on board before doing so.
While it was a tough conversation, Chelsea bringing Connor up to speed could not have gone better. Connor is super excited about his mother’s new apartment, his new bedroom, & her getting the help she needs.
