Storylines Without Hope, Y&R’s Interior Design Businesses
It is seriously no joke that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) created Marchetti Home for her mother Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Since when does Phyllis Summers excel at interior design? Many Young & the Restless fans would agree that she does have good taste, but does good taste equate to running a newly created interior design division for Marchetti?
Phyllis’s best idea during her short time at Marchetti Home was revamping the Abbott Estate & that didn’t even get done.
Now since the failure of Marchetti Home, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has an interior design business out of nowhere sponsored by her ex-boyfriend Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Speaking of out of nowhere, that’s exactly where Sally’s new interior business is headed.
Not Enough Sets to Have Sex, Or to Redecorate on Y&R
Young & the Restless is running out of sets for Genoa City residents to have sex, let alone have redecorated by Sally & her sidekick Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Yet still, the old & dated living room couch at the Abbott Estate lives on.
Some Young & the Restless fans might agree that if Chloe Mitchell spent less time talking negatively about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) & more time working, Sally’s interior design business may not be in dire straights.
On the other hand, much like the other redhead in Genoa City that tried interior design & failed, Sally Spectra has zero experience in interior design. Perhaps it’s time to make fashion great again in Genoa City on Young & the Restless…
Make Fashion Great Again in Genoa City on Y&R
Sally Spectra & Chloe Mitchell belong in fashion. That’s where they came from & where they strive. After all, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) coined Sally Spectra as “That Dress Woman” after she designed Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) wedding dress for The Wedding of the Century to Ashland Locke.
Perhaps Sally & Chloe should turn their newly revealed but unseen office space into something to do with fashion.
As for Phyllis Summers, she does not have a background working in fashion but she dresses like she does. Phyllis needs to re-open the Grand Phoenix to do what she does best. Perhaps she can host Sally & Chloe’s new fashion company’s launch party…
