Since Robert Newman took over the role of Ashland Locke after Richard Burgi was let go, there hasn’t been any intimacy of any kind with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), let alone sex. The last time Ashland & Victoria were seen being intimate, however, was on a couch.

Yes, the same street Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) & Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) used to have sex when they lived together, Billy & Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) now get down. Not only do they have regular sexual intercourse on their living room couch, but they also conduct business. Yes, actual business on the same couch Bily & Lily continue to have sex on regularly.
Yep, Chancellor Industries business, discussing Dominic Newman Abbott Winters Chancellor’s shared custody arrangement, & even Billy’s boring podcast.
Eww. Are Billy & Lily not part of Genoa City’s elite? They seriously invite people into their home to discuss business & seat them on their couch that doubles as a bed for intimate activities?? It’s not right. Get some more sets, Y&R. If Billy Boy can have a set for his podcast, he & Lily should be able to have a bedroom.
Billy & Lily’s couch isn’t the only couch in town being used for business & pleasure. Right in front of Katherine Chancellor’s picture inside the Chancellor Estate, Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) & Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) get down on the living room couch. On this same couch, Abby & Chance witnessed Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) signing papers granting him custody of their son & making his name even longer.
Abby, Chance, & Dom have the entire Chancellor Estate to themselves & all that Y&R fans get to see is their living room. Not even a kitchen, let alone a bedroom.
Another residence in Genoa City where Y&R fans have not seen a bedroom… Devon Hamilton & Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) penthouse. Devon continues to date, live with, & be intimate with his deceased wife’s identical twin sister on their living room couch. Like Billy & Lily’s & Abby & Chance’s homes, it’s both business & pleasure on their living room couch.
Many Y&R fans have been waiting for this & it doesn’t really matter where it finally happened. Their sexual tension has been killing fans (in a good way). Genoa City’s pending power couple finally got it on &, of course, it involved a couch.
It also involved a desk & was followed up by more sex on an actual bed at the Grand Phoenix.
Y&R fans have not seen Adam’s bed, let alone his bedroom at The Newman Ranch. Fans have not seen Sally’s bed, let alone her apartment Sally herself mentioned is not meant for non-sexual playdates. Nothing less would be expected from Miss Sally Spectra.
That apparently leaves Adam’s office at Newman Media & the hotel room he still has reserved at the Grand Phoenix since the Newman Media Launch Party for intimate time with Sally. It’s not clear why Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) still has a room reserved at the Grand Phoenix, but if it means more private time for him & Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), bring it on.
Adam’s suite isn’t entirely different from his office at Newman Media as it seems both businesses use the same interior decorator…
Even in dreams on Young & the Restless intimacy happens on a couch. While many Y&R fans have been speculating that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) may cheat on Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), these two have not crossed any lines yet, at least in real soap opera life. They did, however, make out a bit on Chelsea’s couch inside her suite at the Grand Phoenix in her dreams…
Sharon’s couch simply needs to be replaced. I’m not sure any Y&R fan has enough time to recall & list all of the lovers Sharon has loved on that thing. That, & it’s old & ugly. Sharon is another Genoa City elite. Why is her couch so gross & still there?
It’s almost certain that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) & Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpi) will be moving into the penthouse residence Nate used to own that so happens to be across the hall from Devon & Amanda. It’s immediately apparent that this move for Nate & Elena is a creative way for the powers that be at Y&R to save a set & not have to create a living room couch-loving section where they have been living.
Plus, Elena dated (& lived with) Devon before cheating on him with Nate. Then Elena began dating Nate & cheated on him with Devon. If this were real life, this sounds like a horrible decision. This is a soap opera, however, so let the questionable decision-making & drama ensue…
