Chancellor Industries & Hamilton-Winters merger was almost as productive as the Newman-Locke merger. At least the Newman-Locke merger has wrapped up. After all, Newman-Locke merged first.

What other than a lame launch party & the promise of more podcasts have come out of this merger? For sure a lot of family drama, 2 pending affairs, & at least one breakup.

Chancellor-Winters Does Not Need (2) CEOs & COOs

Can we stop with all of the CEO & COO talk? It’s true… If one takes a sip of coffee every time CEO or COO is mentioned, one will be jittery all damn day. If one takes a sip of wine every time a CEO or COO is mentioned on Y&R, one will be buzzed ASAP.

Why merge Chancellor Industries with Hamilton-Winters? They didn’t even do the same thing. Actually, what did Chancellor Industries specialize in? Hamilton-Winters had a niche in the music arena, but what was CI’s niche?

So, no clear mission & no clear leadership at C-W equals a dramatic shit-show.

The CW Merger Causes Executive-Level Breakups on Y&R

Chancellor-Winters CEO 1 of 2, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), has been frustrated with her live-in boyfriend & COO Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Through the Newman-Locke merger, Billy has been SO obsessed with the mother of his children, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

Now Billy Abbott is podcasting with the woman who raped him & brought Johnny into this world. Her name is Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) & she is not well. Somehow she is even too much for Billy, but she thinks he’s funny, & she makes his podcast less boring.

Billy Boy Abbott is prone to problems. Lily is frustrated with him personally & professionally. How long before Billy & Chelsea cross the line? Before or after Johnny is notified that Chelsea is his biological mother?

Then there is Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) who has a massive crush on Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) & doesn’t even try to hide it. Nate’s live-in girlfriend Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpi) knows it. Imani’s half-sister Amanda Sinclair (Mischael Morgan) knows it. We know it. Yet, Nate does not know it.

How long before Imani finally chases Elena back into Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) arms & places herself in Nate’s arms on The Young & the Restless?
