Yet again, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is buying what Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is selling on Young & the Restless. It seems his full-time job is not being CEO of Jabot, but reassuring Diane every time she reveals another lie.

Smilin’ Jack is smiling right back at Diane Jenkins & their son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) isn’t far behind doing the same.

Could it be that Jack is simply trying to drive his former lover Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) & his sister Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) absolutely nuts?

It’s not clear. It is clear, however, that Jack is not making good choices as it pertains to the ever-disastrous Diane.

While Nikki, Phyllis, & Ashley do not get along most of the time, Jack does get along with each one of these ladies separately.

Yet, Smilin’ Jack does not buy into what any of these ladies are saying about Diane. It does not cross Jack’s mind the severity of Diane being back in Genoa City despite the unlikely team made up of Nikki, Phyllis, & Ashley to get her out of town.
