Young & the Restless hasn’t been formally changed to “The Claire Newman Show,” but it may as well be. Just one year ago Claire was working as Nikki Newman’s assistant at Newman Media before trying to kill almost the entire Newman family in Oregon. Now it’s hard press to find anyone in Genoa City who does not care for Claire. Is Aunt Jordan about to end Claire’s reign as most likable on Y&R?

In true soap opera fashion, no one ever wears something they have worn before on Young & the Restless except for The Woman in the Green Dress, The Bartender in the Purple Shirt, & Dead Cameron (Linden Ashby). So, why is everyone in Genoa City going nuts for Claire Newman (Hayley Erin)? She is looking less like Hollie Hobby, but Y&R fans never caught on that Genoa City residents caught on to that trend of Claire’s.
Along with being excited about all of Claire’s new outfits from Fenmore’s, almost all of Genoa City is almost as excited about Claire going to work. How? Why? In Genoa City on Young & the Restless CEO & COO jobs are handed out like candy. Claire is her grandmother Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) assistant. She has a college degree & business experience. How could she possibly fail in this position? Yet, Claire is being hyper self-conscious about not meeting Nikki’s standards. Nikki all but begged Claire to come on at Chancellor Industries. Claire’s mother Victoria Newman (Ameilia Heinle) is just as worried. Is Claire 12 years old?
Claire Newman is no longer a virgin & her former stripper grandmother Nikki Newman got her the fishnets to prove it, yet somehow Claire looks dainty with her blouses pinned up to her chin. Now Kyle has asked Claire to be her boyfriend & she accepted. Claire also received flowers from Kyle on her first day at Chancellor along with a midday Kyle-kiss inside the C-suite at her new job. Did Kyle Abbott just go back to high school? Is there a promise ring coming soon? If these two young lovers don’t watch there will be a baby Newman-Abbott on the way in Genoa City on Young & the Restless.
