Y&R’s men in suits that need to stop spending their careers in C-suites include Nick Newman, Nate Hastings, & Billy Boy Abbott.

Nick, Nate, & Billy need to stop wearing suits ASAP. Not for the lack of sexy, but the lack of them belonging in any C-Suite.

Also, can we stop with over-mentioning COO & CEO all of the time on Y&R?

Y&R’s Men in Suits Don’t Need Them or C-Suites, Seriously

Y&R’s Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) going back to Newman Enterprises is ridiculous. This time is even more ridiculous than all of the other times. Of all of the current COOs in Genoa City right now, he’s a Co-COO with his mother. Why?

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is a sexy bad-ass doctor. He also does not have any place in a C-Suite. The man who cost Nate’s ability to perform surgery is now micromanaging the crap out of him. Why did Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) hire him on as COO to start with?

Then there is Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). It could not be more obvious that he could not care less about his role as COO at Chancellor-Winters. It is clear that all he wants to do is his podcast & maybe make out with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

Newman Enterprises Does NOT Need (2) COOs in Genoa City

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) was doing just fine as COO. Sure, she started out as a stripper, & she worked her way up. That’s her version of the American Dream.

Now that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) is dead & as of late had been ousted from the former Newman-Locke, Newman Enterprises needs a Co-COO. This does not make any sense.

What is Nick Newman doing other than wearing a suit? Who is running New Hope? Nick’s son Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) declined the opportunity almost as fast as Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) declined to let him run the Top of the Tower as some art-influenced bar/restaurant.

No One, Even Nate Hastings, Can be Devon’s COO on Y&R

Devon Hamilton could not be more of a pain for as long as we can remember. It’s clear that Nate working for Devon as COO on CW is not working.

Sure, Nate may lack C-Suite business experience, but he’s a doctor & has managed a hospital. Devon is not understanding that Nate has transferable skills to bring to CW.

Regardless of Devon’s Debbie-Downer attitude that’s full-time, it’s evident that Nate Hastings in a COO role is not his jam. Perhaps Nate should jump-start his own podcast…

Billy Abbott Does Not Belong in a Suit or in a C-Suite at Corporate

How many times have we seen Billy Abbott fail while working at Jabot? Billy is clearly the black sheep of the Abbott sibling professionals.

Sure, Chancellor-Winters is not Jabot, but it’s still corporate. Billy Abbott does not fit in the corporate world.

So where does Billy Abbott belong? Probably Las Vegas but that setting only makes Young & the Restless for a few episodes here & there over the years. The last time Las Vegas was featured on Y&R Billy wasn’t even involved. Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) & Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) were BFF & up to no good.

While Billy’s podcast is definitely boring, perhaps it’s where he belongs. Chelsea makes it less boring & it’s all but certain that Billy & Chelsea crossing a line is coming soon.
