Y&R doesn’t make sense… Ongoing & sponsored by Head Writer Josh Griffith. Genoa City residents are now bipolar without actually being bipolar.
This week’s Weekly #WTF on Y&R…
It’s time for Head Writer Josh Griffith to Make. It. Stop.
How many times did Young & the Restless fans who manage to hold back from occasionally fast-forwarding make it through each & every reply of what may or may not have happened with Ashley & Tucker in Paris?
The answer is too many to count.
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) could not have beaten that dead horse anymore whether it was her version or Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John).
Just when we thought this drawn-out storyline by Josh Griffith was finally wrapped up, it keeps on going like an almost dead energizer bunny.
How is it now that Ashley gives in to Tucker? Also, how has Ashley Abbott not reacted to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) being promoted to Co-COO at Jabot?
Historically, mentally stable Ashley Abbott would react in some way to Diane Jenkins being promoted to Co-CEO of Jabot alongside her brother Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
The answer seems to be… Ashley Abbott is not actually working at Jabot. The only time we have mentioned her having any interest in working or the Jabot lab was this week when she was supposedly going into Jabot.
Well, she didn’t. She ultimately met Tucker McCall & his new girlfriend Audra Charles for a drink at the GCAC & then force-kissed Tucker.
Seriously, what in the Josh-Griffith-writing-hell is going on with legacy character Ashley Abbott on Y&R?
Again, what in the bipolar Josh Griffith hell is going on here? Since when is Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) desperate for Tucker McCall, let alone any man?
Since Audra’s arrival to Genoa City & the 10 or so minutes she spent attempting to get Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) back, she has always been in control & calling the shots personally & professionally.
While it seems like Audra Charles has slept with almost every man in Genoa City, she’s really just had a “Colleagues with Benefits” relationship with 2 men in GC… Tucker McCall & Kyle Abbott. Even so, both of these lovers have deep connections to Ashley Abbott. Do Young & the Restless fans see a trend?…
On the other hand, a man that doesn’t have all that much at all to do with Ashley Abbott, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). Nate is well aware of Audra’s attempts at intimate professional pleasure with him. He denied her initially. When it was time for round #2, Tucker bounced back into Audra’s GCAC suite & those two have been taking it from there.
Much like Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) it’s doubtful that Audra Charles is on birth control. How long will be be before Audra reveals that she is pregnant?
Is allowing herself to become pregnant too far for Miss Audra Charles? If she were to plan an unplanned pregnancy, wouldn’t she have exploited her “Colleagues with Benefits” relationship with Kyle Abbott?
Audra Charles definitely knows deep down that Tucker McCall will always love Ashley Abbott no matter what. Sure, Audra can keep mixing business with pleasure, but this desperate act does not look good on her & it doesn’t make sense.
Well, between Ashley & Audra, Sally Spectra is the least of our worries. But still…
Could there be a bigger Newman flip-flop than Miss Sally in Genoa City on Young & the Restless?!?
Y&R fans have since mostly moved on from her flip-flopping between Newman brother lovers, but Sally still can’t stop flip-flopping on which Newman or if a not-a-Newman is going to sign her check.
Almost every loyal Young & the Restless fan remembers when Sally Spectra promised that another Newman would never sign her check. Oops!… Then she accepted funding from her now ex-boyfriend/Newman brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Before accepting Nick’s money, she was going to accept a position working for The Great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) at Newman Enterprises. Ergo, Victor would be signing her checks.
Now Sally is failing with Nick Newman’s sponsored funds for her lousy interior design business with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Her current boyfriend, Nick Newman’s brother, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is now ready to fund her via Newman Enterprises… & with Nick Newman’s approval.
There is just SO much Newman flip-flopping here for one woman that it’s hard for a loyal Y&R fan to keep track.
Sally Spectra managed to design Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) wedding dress that she wore marrying Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) in Tuscany at the Newman Palazzo & it was amazing. Victoria’s marriage to Ashland failed in short order & Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) is now dead, but the fashions at that wedding were freaking fabulous.
Oh, Miss Sally… Chloe Mitchell or not, you need to get your hot little ass back into fashion. As for who signs your check, as long as you’re good at what you do & you’re not sleeping with multiple Newmans interchangeably, you should be just fine.
Ok, so Sally Spectra’s deal isn’t totally bipolar, but it has been gross.
Ashley Abbott & newcomer to GC Audra Charles, are acting totally out of character now, however.
Finally, it doesn’t stop with these three ladies, Josh Griffith. What is the deal with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)? Does she still work at Omegasphere? Is Phyllis still on probation? Will she have to do ANY community service?
Why not have Phyllis run New Hope? Or, reopen the Grand Phoenix & Phyllis can run New Hope out of there?
Don’t even get me started on Phyllis & her current intentions with one of her past lovers… That’s for another column.
