Y&R’s Sharon & Rey Rosales, He’s Dead & They Were in Love

Y&R’s Sharon & Rey Rosales were in love but about as boring as Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) podcast… Until Rey died on Young & the Restless.

Finally… Sharon is Less Boring, But Rey is Dead

Apparently, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) had to die for Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) to be interesting again. Since Rey died of a sudden heart attack, Sharon has been the object of our affection. It’s been impossible not to tear up watching her.

It was not absolutely apparent that Sharon & Rey were in love before he died. Generally, the couple was pretty boring, & Rey had taken up flirting with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

The last time we saw Sharon & Rey Rosales attempt to have fun was at Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) & Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) engagement party at Crimson Lights.

Sharon’s strength in dealing with Rey’s passing is admirable. She had to make the tough decision to allow Rey to be married in Miami.

Though Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) continues to provide support to Sharon, he did have another tough decision for her to make as it pertains to a donation to New Hope. Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) offered to donate half of his 500 million dollar settlement to leave Newman-Locke & Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to New Hope in Rey’s memory.

The only way Nick would consider taking the 250 million dollars offered up by Ashland Locke would be if his name would not be revealed at all. Ashland agreed.

Sharon roaring with emotion told Nick to take the money… It’s what Rey would have wanted.

What Happens Next on The Young & the Restless…

Sharon will be excited to see Tessa & Mariah get married… At the Top of the Tower? Y&R fans have been missing this venue. Genoa City residents need another place to celebrate for sure.

Will Ashland Locke ever leave Genoa City? It seems Ashland saving Victoria & then providing that sizable donation to New Hope may have had some influence on her. After all, Victoria is still in love with him…
