Y&R: No Security in Genoa City & Anything Goes

There is now NO security in Genoa City on Young & the Restless & anything goes. The GCPD is not in force & even the great Victor Newman’s security team is lackluster.

GCDP Dismantled, Victor’s Security Team Inept on Y&R

What is going on in Genoa City on Young & the Restless? Well, it’s not keeping the residents of GC safe.

The Genoa City Police Department has been dismantled. Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) hasn’t replaced himself as a detective. Then after stepping down from Chief of Police of GCPD Chance didn’t fill that void either.

Historically, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has been able to rely on the GCPD to back up his security team &/or he’s wanted to do everything in his power to protect his family.

Now, not even The Almighty Victor Newman’s security team is viable. Victor’s security team seems to simply be a hired set of warm bodies.

Genoa City’s 2nd Finest to the Southside Motel, Room 158

Room 158 at Genoa City’s Southside Motel has been very popular amongst the most unsavory visiting town.

It wasn’t long ago Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) brought the not-really-dead Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to Room 158 to either pay her to start over in a faraway land or to kill her. Well, Phyllis won & she killed Stark.

Chance Chancellor tried to do his detective work inside Room 158 at the Southside Motel but it was Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) who took it upon himself to find Phyllis Summers’s hair after she killed Stark & removed his body & almost all of the evidence.

Fast forward through Phyllis Summers being back from the dead & Room 158 has now been visited by Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk). Victor Newman & his son Golden Boy Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) end up being Genoa City’s 2nd Finest to inspect.

Well, job not well done.

Aunt Jordan has now kidnapped Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) & is harassing Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) over the phone.

The Absence of Security in Genoa City on Y&R

Where is JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) when Victor Newman needs him? What about Paul Williams (Doug Davidson)?

Will the Genoa City Police Department on Y&R bring back a blast from the past or two to protect Genoa City? Or, will there be fresh faces added to both the GCPD & Newman Security detail?
