Y&R fans fast-forward more now than ever before & they are all but demanding it to stop. Fan’s F-F buttons are getting WORN OUT. With all of the lather, rinse, repeat with storylines & the loopholes left behind like a trail for Hansel & Gretel soap opera fans are doubling down on whatever it will take to make Young & the Restless great again.
There are at least two Genoa City residents of Y&R past who can fill in all sorts of loopholes on the show with a few sides of spice. Let’s see how fast forward buttons can get some relief & rewind buttons can get into the mix inside soap opera fan homes…
Summer Newman’s Son Needs His Mom, Now Past Due
Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) returning for her biological son Harrison (Redding Munsell) is so past due that somebody should be getting charged for something. Yes, she was arrested for some minor money laundering, but who hasn’t been arrested for something at that level or far worse, including murder in Genoa City? Sure, she was put in jail in New York, as that is where she came from, but still. Y&R is still a soap opera & in soap opera time, she shouldn’t have been in the clink more than 10 days.
Young & the Restless fans across social media have been all but demanding Tara Locke’s return since Allison Lanier took on the role of Summer Newman. Summer Newman by Allison Lanier mentioned “her son” SO much it became tiresome to Y&R fans. Perhaps if Tara Locke’s name had been mentioned ever, that would have balanced things out. However, that didn’t happen. Not even a picture of Harrison’s biological mother, the woman who raised him for the first three years of his life, was placed in his bedroom. Tara was due back in Genoa City for her HER SON a long time ago. If she had returned earlier, she could have put Summer Newman in her place. Now Miss Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will need to be knocked down a peg a two.
If Tucker McCall Isn’t Aristotle Dumas, Y&R Fans Will Quit
Young & the Restless haven’t seen Dumas or heard him speak, but they are already beyond sick of the man, as they have heard enough about him. The Newmans, Abbotts, & everyone Winters has been bringing up Dumas in almost every conversation on Y&R, especially Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). She by far wins this race.
Please, for the love of everything in soap opera land, have Aristotle Dumas be Tucker McCall by Trevor St. John. In addition to Tucker McCall having so many loose ends on Young & the Restless, Dumas has been described to be quite the character in & out of business. Who better to be Dumas in disguise than Tucker McCall by Trevor St. John?
Y&R Fast-Forward in Hope of Tucker & Tara’s Return to GC
Tucker McCall by Trevor St. John was a freaking hoot on Young & the Restless & most soap opera fans could not get enough & are willing to sign up for some more. As for Tara Locke, for the most part, soap opera fans loved to hate her. Yet, soap opera fans hated hearing Summer Newman talk about ‘her son’ even more.

Little Harrison needs some stability in his life. Yes, he seems just fine, sweet, & happy right now, but he’s on dad #2 & will be onto mommy #3 if Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) & Claire Newman do move in together & begin to play house. At some point some PTSD will land in his lap.
As again for Tucker McCall, Young & the Restless needs to be great again & his flying back into Genoa City via a helicopter again would set up this soap opera for a successful reboot.
