Y&R Scoop

Y&R’s Devon Hamilton Isn’t Happy About Anything Ever

Y&R’s Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) isn’t happy about anything… ever.

The writers may as well change his name to Debbie & call him a downer.

Devon Hamilton Isn’t Happy Ever, Nothing is Good Enough on Y&R

Family friend Devon Hamilton was brought into the Abby & Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) baby-making team as a sperm donor with an almost-always-open-door privilege to visit the human being he signed up to help create.

One would think that would suffice, but not Devon Hamilton on Young & the Restless.

The almost always open-door policy that most sperm donors have never been considered for was not good enough for Devon.

After requesting an occasional overnight stay at his penthouse with Dominic & it being granted, things were still not good enough.

Sperm donor Devon hired his live-in-lawyer girlfriend to draw up some papers…

Could Devon Hamilton BE more lazy?

Devon decides that he wants more out of his sperm donation. He then literally rolls over inside his penthouse & asks his live-in-lawyer girlfriend Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) to draw up some papers.

This legal dilemma simply brought up another opportunity to remind us that Christine Blair-Williams (Lauralee Bell), otherwise known as Cricket is absolutely boring. Cricket did next to nothing to prevent Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) & Chance’s child from legally acquiring another father & another last name.

Alas, Devon is legally entitled to regular sleepovers with his bio-son on demand & now the boy’s name is Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor, but Dom for short.

Y&R Family-Owned Companies Merge & (Not-so-Shocking), Devon is Still Bitter

Merging his company with the infamous Chancellor Industries & working with his family… This sounds like a time to celebrate. To the rest of the hands in the CW cookie jar yes, but Devon not so much.

Devon had a say… & he said & agreed to merge Hamilton-Winters with Chancellor Industries to become Chancellor-Winters (CW).

There isn’t one power-hungry Type-A Genoa City business powerhouse that would judge Devon for waiting to keep Hamilton-Winters to himself.

If Devon was not up for being one of many sets of hands in the corporate cookie jar, why did he agree to this?

The CW powerhouse includes non-bio-siblings Lily & Devon, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) on the Chancellor side, & Devon’s live-in-lawyer girlfriend Amanda along with her newfound sister Imani that’s completely obsessed with Devon’s COO Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

What could possibly go wrong? Um… everything. However, Devon didn’t have to agree to this, to begin with.
