Living in Genoa City, Y&R Residents of the Grand Phoenix

Living in Genoa City means taking a suite at the Grand Phoenix for many residents on Young & the Restless.

These residents also have The Woman in the Green Dress in common beyond their hotel suites on Y&R.

The Hotel Scene in Genoa City, The Grand Phoenix on Y&R

First of all, what is up with the woman in the green dress? There is an employee (apparently there is just one) that wears the same green dress every damn day.

Well, every day that there are scenes at the Grand Phoenix. This woman, though very pretty & put together, is wearing the same non-logoed apparent uniform every day.

One would think that with the decent occupancy currently at the Grand Phoenix, & the Genoa City residents actually living there, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) would be able to mix up the uniforms for her staff.

Living in Genoa City, Residents Living at The Grand Phoenix on Y&R

While it makes total sense that Phyllis, the owner of the hotel, resides inside the hotel… What is the deal with these other well-off & well-networked Genoa City residents?…

Abby Abbot Newman & Chance Chancellor, Living in Genoa City in a Hotel

What about Abby & Chance Chancellor before they got married, moved into the Chancellor Estate, & Chance went MIA on assignment?

Long story short, Abby’s updated name after marrying Chance is Abby Abbott Newman Chancellor (Melissa Ordway). Amongst those 3 families, & their money, & Abby’s money, how was Abby living in a hotel?

Now Chance is a different story… He’s been MIA here & there throughout Chance being Chance (Donny Boaz who most recently played Chance has been let go by Y&R).

Also, he was “friends” somehow with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) for a few minutes… Which didn’t go well.

Now he can’t have babies after taking a bullet for Adam.

Amanda Sinclair, New to Genoa City & Living at the Grand Phoenix on Y&R

Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) new lover who looks exactly like his deceased wife Hillary Curtis conveniently ended up being her long-lost/separated at birth identical twin sister is also living at the Grand Phoenix.

Yes, Devon is sleeping with his deceased wife’s identical twin sister.

Billy & Lilly, but Living Separately For Now on The Young & the Restless

Then there is Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), & his co-worker/new girlfriend, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). While they both live at the Grand Phoenix currently, they are living separately.

If Victoria eases up a bit with creating “challenges” in Billy & Lily’s relationship, it’s likely they may move in together… somewhere.

Dr. Nate Hastings & His Residency at the Grand Phoenix on Y&R

Dr. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) also lives inside the Grand Phoenix. As of late, he’s been enjoying time is Elena Dawson (Brytni Dawson), one of the few in these Genoa City social circles that actually does not live at the Grand Phoenix.

It appears Nate will continue to live solo at the hotel for the foreseeable future as it’s evident that Elena can’t decide who she’d rather “enjoy time with.”

Time will tell if the “Devon-Nate-Devon-Teeter-Totter” will result in an unplanned pregnancy & will necessitate a rather common test taken in Genoa City, an infamous paternity test.

Sally Spectra on The Young & the Restless, New to Genoa City from L.A.

Finally, we have Ms. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) who recently relocated from L.A. to Genoa City.

Besides Grand Phoenix owner Phyllis, this is actually the only residency that makes sense as Sally is new to town.

What Happened to the Athletic Club on The Young on The Restless?

When is the last time we have seen any of the Genoa City elites stopping by the Genoa City Athletic Club, let alone stayed overnight?

Is the Grand Phoenix that damn good? Also, when is the last time any of these people worked out at a gym?

While there is plenty of chatter & interest in the spa at the Grand Phoenix, there has been no mention of a weight room or a “killer workout.”

Sally Spectra, an import from L.A., recently threatened to relocate from the Grand Phoenix to the Athletic Club, however.

Sally’s original accommodations were not spacious enough in her opinion.

Due to high occupancy & Phyllis Summers not liking Sally at all, a suite was not available.

Conveniently Sally Spectra’s threat ended up being met with Phyllis wanting to keep her friends close & 7 of her enemies even closer.

Ms. Spectra remains at the Grand Phoenix.

We won’t get to the bottom of the status of the infamous Genoa City Athletic Club, at least for now…

Finally, What Happened to Abby’s New Hotel Next Door to The Grand Phoenix

Didn’t Miss Abby & Phyllis have a business separation leaving the Grand Phoenix in Phyllis’s hands & ownership?

Then after that, didn’t Abby start building her own hotel across the street to compete with her?

There was a bunch of noise in the building of Abby’s hotel. However, no one seems to know if it was ever completed.

After all, all the elite townspeople of Genoa City seem to be staying/living at the Grand Phoenix Hotel.

Sometimes things work out. How else would Abby have time to involve almost everyone in town with her & MIA Chance in her surrogacy/sperm donor/close friends helping them have a baby extravaganza?
